Teacher with a pupil

Our latest research identifies and explores possible solutions to education’s ongoing retention and recruitment crisis.

Our 2015 survey uncovers an ‘epidemic’ of mental health issues as 84% of those working in education admit to suffering problems, with workload to blame in 81% of cases.

Empty meeting room

We commissioned a poll which has revealed that schools are set to suffer an ‘experience exodus’ by 2020 and beyond.

Training room

Significant numbers of teachers said they were deprived of adequate training and development, according to a 2015 YouGov poll we commissioned.

Teacher helping a student

UK education is facing a crisis that we truly believe we can help solve, but we need your support.

School kids by bus stop

In partnership with Parentline Plus (now Famliy Lives) we reviewed the extensive literature and many studies examining the link between parental engagement and pupil attainment, behaviour and attendance.

School gates

In 2007 we conducated a joint survey with British Council for School Environments (BCSE) conducted of 530 teachers on school buildings. This report summarises our findings and the subsequent recommendations we made to make building investment even more beneficial for schools.

We are currently sponsoring a major three-year project looking at how headteachers can change their school climate and the effect a school climate has on teacher wellbeing.

Research segments

An independent piece of research was commissioned in 2013 to measure the demand and supply of wellbeing support services.

Headteacher

In December 2014, we carried out a poll of 804 individuals looking at the impact inspections have on the wellbeing. The poll also reveals insights into how inspections can be improved for everyone involved.
