Support to prevent radicalisation

Last year, new legislation gave education staff new responsibilities for identifying and reporting signs of radicalisation in others. Education Support Partnership is unsure whether adequate support is being given to staff to fulfil these responsibilities, and if not, what types of support is required. Several stories in the media have, in particular, given cause for concern.

For this reason, the charity is working with the Quilliam Foundation to find out what additional support is needed, if any, by education staff to fulfil new Prevent duties to protect young people from radicalisation. Findings from focus groups will be written in a report which will be presented to Government and other stakeholders as soon as possible.

If you would like to find out more and potentially take part in this new project (key expenses covered), please read and complete this short survey.
