20th August 2018

Academic diary company Pirongs has teamed up with Education Support Partnership to raise funds. Education Support Partnership are the only UK charity dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the entire education workforce.

Pirongs have designed 2018/19 Academic diares and deskpads with 10% of the income from all sales going to Education Support Partnership.

Kevin McGovern Manager of Pirongs said:

"Pirongs itself was started by a teacher back in 1961, and the majority of our customers are involved in the teaching profession. When we heard about Education Support Partnership and the great work they do we were keen to help, not only to raise much needed funds but to also help raise the charities profile to those who would benefit from using it."

Sarah Goddard, Fundraising Manager, Education Support Partnership said:

“We’re really excited for this partnership with Pirongs. Good-quality planning tools like diaries are invaluable to teachers to manage their workload and lesson plans, and it’s lovely to see Pirongs giving teachers the opportunity to give back to their peers in education by purchasing one of these special products, raising money for Ed Support.

"The money raised from this partnership will make such a difference to education staff. Over the last 12 months, the need for our help has increased by 40% - the fastest growth we’ve seen in our 140 year history. We want to be there for every single person that needs us and thanks to the generosity of Pirongs and their customers we can answer more calls, help more people in financial difficulty and be there for more teachers when they need someone most.  Thank you so much to Kevin and the team at Pirongs for showing their support to teachers and education professionals in this time of extreme pressure.”
